Maintaining uptime in oil and gas applications requires selecting rubber compounds that can withstand hydrocarbons, high temperatures, and abrasive media.

Recommended Compounds

• NBR for general purpose hydrocarbon resistance up to 100°C.
• HNBR when elevated temperatures or sour gas exposure are present.
• FKM for the harshest chemical exposure and temperatures beyond 200°C.

Installation Tips

1. Validate Shore A hardness against flange surface finish.
2. Pre-condition seals for temperature cycling where possible.
3. Document lot traceability to simplify maintenance schedules.
